The "secret" of materials - Galvalume Steel PlateSangobuild® Stone Coated Metal Roof Tile uses aluminium zinc plated steel sheet (also called galvalume steel and PPGL) as base, covered by natural stone chips and sticked by acrylic resin glue.
Coating composition is 55% aluminum in weight ratio (80% surface volume ratio), 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon. All San-gobuild® roof products are manufactured from alu-zinc steel which has shown in tests to last 6-9 times longer than ordinary galvanised steel roofing products.
***Galvalume ≠ Galvanized
Galvalume is " Alu-Zin", however Galvanized is only Alu, which means galvalume steel materials own better performances, such as anti-corrosion, longer lifespan and etc.
The "secret" of materials - Stone Chips
There are two kinds of stone chips in the market.
One is pre-painted stone chips, this is the use of paints to coat natural stone. These chips are very bright mostly when new! But the lifespan is limited to about 2-3 years. Fading is visible after the first few weeks past installation. Other manufacturers use painted stone which quickly changes color due to UV and comes off easily due to low quality basecoats.

Sintering is the process of compacting and forming a solid mass of material by heat or pressure without melting it to the point of liquefaction.
