WHAT ARE THE ASPHALT SHINGLES MADE FROM?
1) Mineral Surface Granules / Quartz Anti-Slip Sand
Sangobuild asphalt shingles are covered with CARLAC(CL) natural stone chips which are taken from quarries in French. CL granules have excellent performance for UV resistance and anti-aging, fire resistance, and break heat conduction. It could guarantee 100% fadeless.
2) Weathering-Grade Modified Asphalt Coating
Sangobuild Asphalt Shingle use of modified asphalt, large extension and strong bonding, and higher intake for filler, will bond all the materials together. This makes asphalt shingles resist wind and rain erosion for a long time keep product performance in cold and hot weather, and play a role in moisture resistance oxidation.

3) Fiberglass Mat
Glass fiber reinforcement: Strengthen of the carrier to a more solid quality, and strengthen the capacity of anti-aging. Sangobuild have two quality fiberglass mat that could be chosen: 95g/sqm or 110g/sqm. It plays the role of a carrier in the production of asphalt shingle technology, it makes the product not only have excellent waterproof performance but also keeps waterproof performance even if the shingle surface is broken. FAQ

Q: Why the temperature should be up to 5ºC when installing the asphalt shingle?
A: The viscosity of adhesive tape(asphalt mastic) is affected by temperature. It will increase after installing asphalt shingle on the roof and exposure on the sunshine
with the temperature increase. If the temperature is below 5ºC, the viscosity can not increase and the shingle can not stick on the roof very well.

Q: Is there any requirement for the roof when installing asphalt shingle?
A: It is better that the angle of roof is more than 15 degrees. If the angle is below 15 degrees, the asphalt shingle may arch up. Furthermore, please try to avoid
installing the asphalt shingle in a gale. Furthermore, the up and down shingles should be staggered.

Q: How many years of warranty?
A: The warranty of Sangobuild asphalt shingle could be 30 years.

Q: Does the color fade?
A: The color of Sangobuild asphalt shingle will not fade. We use CARLAC(CL) natural stone chips which are from Franch and it also supplies the stone chips to the
factory for asphalt shingles in South Korea and USA. The granular has excellent performance for weather resistance and against extreme UV.

Q: The asphalt shingle is self-adhesive, why does it still need the nail to fix it?
A: Because the viscosity of adhesive tape just increases when it reaches a suitable temperature, it needs to use the nail to fix it on the roof first, after it is exposed
on the sunshine and the temperature increase, the asphalt shingle could stick with
roof very well.

Q: Is necessary to install the waterproof membrane before installing roofing shingle?
A: Yes, you must install the waterproof membrane before installing asphalt shingle, we have self-adhesive waterproof membrane and polymer PP/PE waterproof
membrane could be chosen.
