Our Advantages

All San-go build roof tiles are coated with natural stone chips, volcanically formed and taken from quarries in French. These coatings add natural beauty to the roof and a hard layer of protection from the weather. Being of natural stone, the vibrant colour is protected against the extreme UV of the African sun and will never change.

Galvalume(Zincalume)  
Two steel materials are popular in the roofing industry: 1: Galvanized Steel Sheet= PPGl.
Galvanized steel is regular steel sheets that have been coated in zinc to make them corrosion resistant. Regular steel is made of
iron which will rust when exposed to moisture, either in the form of rain or ambient humidity. Over time rust will corrode a steel
part to the point of failure. To prevent steel parts from rusting there are two options:
1: Switch to a metal that will not corrode when exposed to water.
2: Coat the steel with a physical barrier to prevent water from reacting with the iron.

2: Galvalume Steel Sheet = Aluminum Zinc Steel Sheet= PPGL
Galvalume has barrier corrosion resistance and heat resistance similar to aluminized material and good bare edge
galvanic protection and forming qualities like galvanized material. Consequently, Galvalume and Galvalume Plus will resist rust,
the elements and fIre while providing a sturdy and protective covering. Galvalume is more corrosion-resistant than galvanized
steel.
And That is how our roofs are guaranteed to last over 50years.

You may use the best stone chips in the world but if your adhesive is weak, you stand no chance. Your stone chips will definitely
flake off. Sangobuild patented acrylic coat are patented and remain a class apart from all competition. If the acrylic coat is too
thin, it
won't adhere as well, Sangobuild has mastered the art of a perfect coat. When it's too thick or too thin the result is a
substandard stone coated tile.

7: Does the colour fade?

Though size more precisely, Sangobuild use the same granules used by asphalt shingle manufacturers for over 50 years, So history demonstrates that fading is not a problem. Over time, a slight change in colour might occur due to the sitting of airborne contaminants. However periodic rain or washing the roof with a garden hose will keep the roof looking new.

 

8: How do the granules stay bonded to the steel?

Specially graded 'non-oiled natural granite stone chips, produced by CL Rock company are used for all Sangobuild stone coated roof tile. The granules are embedded in a UV-resistant acrylic polymer for a lasting bond to the steel substrate.
