Stone coated roof tile accessories for solar tile is made of stone coated roof tile. Acrylic resin layer + aluminum zinc roof sheet protect the steel plate and improves corrosion resistance. The stone coated roof tile is used as shingle PV accessories roof cover for the area of the roof top which are not covered with solar tile , it is well match the frame basement of shingle PV.

1. Why your solar roof tile is expensive?

Our solar roof tile is made with aerospace-grade polymer composites as the bottom, and the solar module used is monocrystalline silicon cells, double-sided tempered glass, which makes the BIPV roof tiles a very strong structure with high cell efficiency, stable power output that we can guarantee a 30 years power warranty and 60 years plus life span.

2. Why your storage system is more expensive?

There are many kinds of storage systems in the market, but the storage we are using is Lithium iron phosphate batteries, which offer lots of benefits compared to lead-acid batteries and other lithium batteries. Longer life span, no maintenance, extremely safe, lightweight, and improved discharge and charge efficiency. This Lithium iron phosphate battery is not the cheapest in the market, but due to its long life span and zero maintenance, it's the best investment you can make over time. In addition, Compared with other kinds of batteries that have only a 1-year quality warranty, we offer the lithium iron phosphate battery at least a 5-year quality warranty, which can largely reduce the end user concerns and increase the investor's investment value.

3. Why does the battery/inverter have to be of higher capacity than the corresponding solar tiles system of 15kw (or other powers)?

For the battery, we don't suggest a 100% usage of the battery capacity, as it will affect the battery life when the energy in the battery is 100% used.

As the battery part can be an expensive investment in the solar roofing system, to ensure its long lifetime, we suggest the battery's capacity can be bigger than the solar tile system's max power.

4. Can I install your solar roof tiles on the existing roof directly? (Such as metal roof, asphalt shingle, clay roof)

No. You need to remove the existing old roof first, and install the fixing battens (horizontal) and counter battens (vertical), then install our BIPV SOLAR ROOF TILES on the fixed roof structure.
